1965BG

Athletics was the key-note of the BG Ô65 season. All of the boys showed enthusiasm in volleyball, baseball, basketball and softball, but really excelled in soccer.

In "A" soccer and "A" softball we ended the season with a record of 4 wins and 3 losses. This record is deceiving since two of the three losses in soccer were by one goal.

The highlight of the softball season came against Twin Lake on August 3. Behind 6-2 in the last inning, with one out, the "A" team came up with 5 runs on 3 home runs to beat the good Twin Lake team.

Some of the boys in the group organized a band called the BAMFS. The group played for the camp throughout the summer.

The boys welcomed trips out of camp for a change of pace. Trips like our overnight to Vicars Islands and our day trip to Blue Ridge Falls helped to bring our group closer together as a unit.
